Behind the name DOOGIE is Toni Krstulović, a local guide from Vis who has been showing guests the island through its lesser-known stories, military history, hidden locations, and authentic island life since 2013.
His tours are not your typical pre-programmed tourist sightseeing trips. Each one is tailored to the guests' interests, combining island drives, visits to former military complexes and underground tunnels, historical tales, natural landmarks, local gastronomy, and spots that are hard to discover without someone who truly knows Vis.
He places special emphasis on the military and recent history of the island of Vis, with numerous sites still hidden within the island's landscape today. Toni brings them to life for guests through stories, local experiences, and context, turning the tour into a relaxed, personal, and educational experience.
His approach is best described by the visitors themselves – as a combination of knowledge, enthusiasm, spontaneity, and great storytelling. A long-standing member of his small tour team is also a Jack Russell named Beni, who has over time become almost as recognizable as the guide himself.
Today, DOOGIE offers private and small-group tours of the island, including military & island tours, 4x4 excursions, historical and heritage tours, as well as experiences centered around wine and the local way of life, giving guests the opportunity to get to know Vis from a local's perspective.
