Okusi Visa d.o.o. is a Vis-based craft distillery that stands behind the brand HUM 587, a handcrafted island gin born from the desire to transform the scents, flavors, and botanical diversity of Vis into a recognizable local product. The brand's name refers to Hum, the highest peak on the island of Vis, standing at 587 meters, and this symbolism connects the island's landscape, botany, and identity.

HUM 587 is produced in small batches, from carefully selected botanicals, many of which are hand-picked on Vis, especially on the slopes of Hum. Island aromatic herbs, Vis lemons, and seasonal work with natural ingredients hold a special place in their story. The Botanical Gin contains 13 botanicals, and the Artemis Gin 11 delicate botanicals, with some herbs macerated, and more delicate ingredients used through a botanical basket and vapor infusion. Distillation takes place in a 300-liter copper pot still, using only the "heart" of the distillate, thus emphasizing quality, purity of flavor, and product character.

An important part of the brand's identity is its connection to the ancient heritage of Vis. Artemis Gin is named after the Greek goddess Artemis, and its label references a bronze head of the goddess Artemis found on the island, dating back to ancient Issa. In this way, the product connects natural heritage, archaeological memory, and contemporary design.

Okusi Visa Distillery is also open to visitors, offering purchases, tastings, tours, and an introduction to the production process. Their work thus connects local production, spatial interpretation, and experiential tourism, offering visitors the opportunity to experience Vis through its scents, plants, and stories.

The quality of their work is also confirmed by numerous international awards. HUM 587 Botanical Gin won gold and the title of Country Winner Croatia in the London Dry Gin category at the World Gin Awards 2024., gold at the London Spirits Competition 2023. and gold at the San Francisco World Spirits – European Satellite Competition 2025. Artemis Gin was awarded silver medals at the World Gin Awards 2024, London Spirits Competition 2023, and San Francisco World Spirits – European Satellite Competition 2025, while Sloe Gin Limited Edition won silver at the San Francisco World Spirits – European Satellite Competition 2025.
