OPG Povlov is a small family farm from Vis that cultivates local seasonal vegetables. It's a very small-scale production, focused on freshness, local supply, and direct relationships with customers.
Their products don't travel far from field to table – vegetables are harvested and sold the same day, often directly "door-to-door." This simplicity makes OPG Povlov an important part of the local food scene: customers know who they're buying from, and the producer knows who their products are going to.
In an island environment, where agriculture is often limited by small plots, drought, seasonality, and challenging working conditions, this type of production holds special value. It preserves the habit of buying local produce, encourages short supply chains, and reminds us that local food doesn't have to be large-scale or industrial to be important.
