Brojne Agricultural Business is one of Vis's renowned producers, preserving and presenting the traditional flavors of Vis Island. Located in the central part of the island, in the Lokva area, Brojne connects agriculture, local ingredients, small-batch products, and the island's culinary heritage.
Their sales take place directly next to the production site, in Lokva in the center of the island, allowing customers direct contact with the producer and access to fresh, local products. Depending on the season, their offerings include melons, tomatoes, zucchini, artichokes, and other seasonal vegetables, harvested near the sales point.

In addition to growing fruits and vegetables, Brojne also raises sheep in Lokva, thereby further preserving elements of the traditional island economy. In the Vis landscape, where agriculture and livestock farming have for centuries been linked to small plots, meager soil, and the seasonal rhythm of life, this type of production holds special value.
Their most famous product is Vis Hib – a traditional cake made from dried figs, one of Vis's most recognizable edible symbols. Hib is made from figs, a fruit that has played an important role in the island's diet for centuries, especially during periods when food had to be preserved, dried, and used sparingly. That's why Vis Hib is not just a delicacy, but also a record of a way of life in which the island's humble fruits were transformed into a long-lasting, valuable, and celebratory product.

In addition to their own products, their offering often includes products from other island producers, such as olive oil, honey, seasonal fruits, and jams, making Brojne a meeting point for the diverse flavors of Vis.

The value of this business is particularly significant in the island context. On Vis, where agricultural areas are limited and the soil is often meager and demanding, every harvest is the result of great effort, knowledge, and adaptation to the environment. Through its work, Brojne reminds us that local food arises from the relationship between people and the landscape: from fields, dry stone walls, sun, drought, figs, vineyards, gardens, pastures, and daily labor on the land.
As a partner of the Vis Archipelago Geopark, Brojne Agricultural Business contributes to the preservation and presentation of the island's living heritage. Their products connect local agriculture, traditional recipes, livestock farming, and the contemporary need for authentic, homemade, and recognizable island products.
