On the occasion of Vis City Day, we extend our sincere congratulations to all residents of Vis.

Vis is a place of exceptional natural and cultural heritage, a city with a rich history, tradition, and identity shaped over centuries by the coexistence of people, the sea, and the landscape. It is precisely this connection of natural values, cultural heritage, and the local community that makes it a unique part of the UNESCO Global Geopark Vis Archipelago.

City Day is an opportunity to remember the importance of preserving the area, customs, and values that make Vis distinctive, but also to express gratitude to all who contribute to the island's life through their work, knowledge, and unity.

A special place in Vis's cultural identity is also held by Croatian City Music Vis, founded in 1848, one of the oldest cultural institutions on the island. For generations, it has nurtured musical tradition and represents an important part of the cultural heritage and social life of the city of Vis.
