Summer at the Vis Archipelago Geopark
This summer, the Vis Archipelago Geopark Visitor Center in Komiža becomes a place for meeting, learning, and discovering the unique features of our archipelago.
During the summer lecture series, we will discuss the landscape, rocks, sea, and natural phenomena that shape the Vis Archipelago — from the oldest rocks in the Adriatic and the geology of Biševo, to protected natural monuments, drinking water on Vis, and the geological specificities of our offshore area.
Summer Lecture Program:

All lectures will be held at the Vis Archipelago Geopark Visitor Center, at the 'Ivan Vitić' Cultural Center in Komiža.
In addition to lectures for the general public, the Vis Archipelago Geopark also participates in the Mini Summer in Komiža 2026program. As part of the program, there will be a Little Science Day, designed for children aged 7 to 11.
Junior Science Day is held every Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the 'Ivan Vitić' Cultural Center. Through simple experiments, exploration, and creative activities, children will playfully discover nature, science, and the unique features of their surroundings.

Admission to the lectures is free.
We invite you to join us this summer at the Vis Archipelago Geopark — through lectures, discussions, exploration, and curiosity about the landscape we inhabit.
